    1. Sorry Dawn, this is an old competition – the entries closed in January 2013.
With hindsight maybe I should have removed the comments feature.

  1. Eli – “I’m sooooo sorry, I’ll never do it again, promise… I’ll do all the heavy sheep work for a week, no, a month, honest, let me make it up to you…”

Kay – “Bah, no backbone, stop sucking up to him coward!”

  2. Eli did his best to be motionless but Kay was not impressed with his attempts to be disguised as a puddle!

  3. Kay: “Oh no, he is making that big-eyed face again…”
Eli: “Mom, Dad, he pushed me into this! It’s not my fault I swear! I was only running around randomly and then he came with his mean face that he’s making in this very moment again, and pushed me in a biiiig paddle of mud! Well, it was fun and is feeling pretty cool, but jusy so you know who you have to be mad at!”

  4. Neither snow nor rain nor MUD of the fields stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds ~ sheepdogs: more reliable than the mailman!

  5. Kay says ” by the time dad has finished cleaning Eli he’s going to be too tired to bath me…….that’s it Eli you go first”

  6. We saved the kittens in the well! Hmmmm, Lassie got away with it using that excuse, hope we do too!

  7. Kay gives Eli the look that could strike any man down and wonders why she trusts him as her sidekick when, quite frankly, he always lands them both in trouble!

  8. I flanked on the away, she flanked on the go by and the sheep didn’t tell us it was a bog…then they laughed when we fell in but we got them in the pen.

  9. ”Look into my eyes….you see no wet muddy collies…Look into to my eyes….only a collies that are loving life….”

  10. Eli – “Er, they say a mud bath is good for the skin.”

Kay – “Oh God, not another metrosexual man”.

  11. Eli: das ist jetzt nicht dein Ernst, du willst uns nicht schon wieder baden ?
Kay: bei drei verschwinden wir, ok Eli?

  12. Eli; Tell her dad. She been practising her driving again, and drove me into the biggest muddy puddle in the field.
Kay. Well I have to praciste on someone.

  13. Eli: It wasn’t my fault! She pushed me in!
Kay: *mutters* and I’d do it again if you take my ball from me.
